Gura has the sharp end part of her tail sewed up regarding the fact that the part of her tail was once cut off. She wields a sapphire blue coloured trident. She wears a hood that is similar to a shark's head, grey drawstrings with black circles on it, a hoodie with the shark mouth designed on her waist with a zipper, two pockets on the left and right side and wears white and blue shoes with black shoelaces and grey velcro patches in front of it with black soles.
She has white, baby blue and cobalt blue coloured hair, light blue pupils, and shark-like sharp teeth. Gawr Gura is known for being short at around 141 cm (4'7") and has a skinny body shape, especially around her waist.
She also occasionally makes lewd jokes, and is familiar with modern meme culture, which she references often. When questioned on why she was not "boing boing," she excused it by claiming that she was "hydrodynamic." Her skill with fast-paced rhythm games is exceptional, and she is highly ambitious. However, despite her poor math and spelling skills, Gura is quick-witted, clever, and has vast knowledge of Shark Facts. She often forgets about perishable items until they start to rot, and eats baby food "because you don't have to cook it. Memorably, one viewer declared that "Gura has a heart of gold and a head of bone." She has no sense of direction, often misspells and mispronounces words, has trouble remembering her own age, and consistently fails to solve basic math problems, leading viewers to affectionately call her a "dum shark". Gura is friendly and readily likeable, and often amuses her viewers with foolish antics. In her spare time, she enjoys talking to marine life. Gura is a descendant of the Lost City of Atlantis, who swam to Earth while saying "It's so boring down there LOLOLOL!" She bought her clothes (and her shark hat) in the human world and she really loves them.
